Claire Cuccio, an independent scholar of Asian printmaking and print culture, will discuss how Japanese woodblock prints are created by means of a network of multiple artists in a process that combines individual expertise and collaborative production. A number of materials drawn from both the Asian Division’s Japanese collection and the Prints & Photographs Division will be displayed. This event is free and open to the public.
